Meet The Dudleys
Simon, The Farmer
Simon manages and runs Pightle Farm. The arable crops the farm specialises in are, cereals, oilseed rape and sugar beet. He has been farming all his life, sitting on a tractor from a very young age. Simon also manages a local farm and several plots for local landowners.
Alongside this, he runs a contracting business and travels the neighbouring counties providing agricultural services for farmers.
When not working ,you will find Simon walking the fields with his two black labs in tow.
Sarah, The Farmer’s Wife
Sarah runs the stays at the “Field of Dreams” at Pightle Farm. Sarah is the vision behind this new venture and she ensures a warm reception as you arrive at the farm, welcoming you to the relaxed atmosphere in this beautiful countryside spot.
Sarah is a beekeeper, taking care of five hives on the land. She has planted the garden to attract and support the bees, and this project has grown into a venture growing wildflower fields. This is not just for the delicious honey that these bees produce, but also for crafting candles and soap, and most importantly, the environmental impact that it has.
Sarah is very hands on and puts together a delicious breakfast box that even includes her renowned cakes! You only need to ask Simon and the locals to get a glowing review of these baked treats.
When not working, you will find Sarah sitting under an oak tree reading a good book.
