Health and Safety

at Pightle Farm

Welcome to Pightie Farm Campsite. We want you to have a relaxed and enjoyable stay. Please take a moment to read the information below to help keep everyone safe during your visit.

A Working Farm

Pightle Farm is an active working farm. Please be aware of the following during your stay:

  • Farm vehicles moving in and out of the yard

  • Uneven ground and long grass

  • Limited lighting in some areas

  • Mud, dust, wildlife and insects

We recommend bringing a torch, suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear, especially as weather conditions can change quickly.

Needs to know

Waste & Facilities

Please help us keep the campsite clean and pleasant for everyone:

  • Keep the service area tidy

  • Rinse the waste area thoroughly after each use

  • Bag all rubbish securely and place it in the bins provided by the showers

Carbon Monoxide Safety

Never use a BBQ inside your tent or awning

  • Carbon monoxide fumes are invisible, odourless and extremely dangerous. Even after flames have died down, BBQs can continue to give off lethal gases.

    This includes:

    • Inside tents

    • Inside awnings

    • With doors open

    • In porches

Campsite Boundaries & Children

Please stay within the fenced campsite area and do not enter the working yard. Farm vehicles may be operating and reversing around buildings at any time.

Children must be supervised at all times. There is a shallow pond within the camping area. As there are no barriers between the accommodation and the water’s edge, the campsite may not be suitable for very young children.
